While there are less editing options available, it is an easy to use site that gets your ringtone to your phone hassle-free. The sign up process is simple and unintrusive.

The advantage to using Phone Zoo is that it automatically formats the ringtones to work for your phone. For this to work, you must enter your correct phone model when you initially sign up, from then on Phone Zoo remembers the format when sending you ringtones. You also need to verify your account by entering a verification code that Phone Zoo sends to your phone via text message(Phone Zoo never uses your number for any purpose other than sending you your ringtone when you are finished making it).

www.makeownringtone.com is an easy to use site with a large amount of features. You can upload your music from your computer in the form of MP3, WMA, and OGG.

The site has plenty of distribution options, you can send your ringtone to an email address, download it to your computer, or download it from a specific url they provide you with.

You also have several options for the quality of the ringtone. The bit rates available vary from 32kbps - 320kbps

The ringtone formats available are a bit limited compared to some other ringtone makers, and some phones may not support any of the formats offered.

To find out which ringtone formats your phone supports visit www.phonescoop.com and type your phone model into the search bar in the top right corner. Once you get to your phone's page, scroll through the specifications and look for a section titled "Customization", it will usually list the ringtone formats that are supported for that phone. Phone Scoop won't have the format listed for every phone, so you may have to look through your phone and find out the format of the ringtones that came with it.

The editing interface is self-explanatory and easy to use. You can upload your song and have the ringtone finished in under 2 minutes.

Stop Wasting Money on Ringtones!

The internet is plagued with websites that claim to have free ringtones available for instant download. Often times this is not the case, and learning so the hard way usually results in a long, frustrating call with your cell phone provider's customer service. The sites claim they have 'Free Ringtones!', just enter your phone number and they'll send you the ringtones immediately. Only the following month will you discover you've been signed up for a $20 monthly subscription to mcube, or some other service you have never heard of, without knowing it.

Maybe you have never dealt with the ringtone scams, but you do throw away $5-$10 a month to get the hottest ringtones available. STOP! There is no reason anyone should spend money every time they want a new ringtone. With the resources available today, you can have any ringtone you want for FREE.
